Project-Lead Buyer "Mechatronics non-Space" (f/m/d) 

 

 

Your responsibilities

  • Procurement of mechanical construction parts and assemblies (ISO 5&6 cleanliness class environment) in our non-space business.
  • Requests for a quotation for prototype, and serial parts/materials as well as production required jigs & tools
  • High involvement in the selection of possible preferred suppliers, in close collaboration with the Commodity Managers
  • Support with the calculation for customer offers, procurement parts and materials cost overviews
  • Clarification of the technical feasibility with the suppliers and introduction of (alternative) solution proposals (design to cost) from suppliers in the concept phase
  • Negotiating prices and conditions as well as establishing framework agreements and contracts together with the commodity managers
  • Continuously optimizes total cost of ownership and drives savings initiatives
  • Representation of the purchasing interests in the product development process (BOM, specification/drawing availability, meeting cost targets and manufacturing deadlines)
  • Highlight potential deviations from the plan (cost, time, quality), defining and ensuring counteractions
  • Maintenance of ERP SAP-procurement article data (Modul MM)
  • Issuing and follow-up orders in close cooperation with the Purchaser
  • Coordination and implementation of the needs and requirements of the project, materials management and production planning
  • Issuing and follow-up on supplier quality claims
  • Support the supplier development according to the defined specifications
  • Preparation of price comparisons and bases for the award decision under TCO aspects
  • Support Make or buy decisions

 

Your profile

  • Completed technical and/or commercial education
  • Further education in the direction of purchasing or supply chain management
  • 5+ years in-depth technical and operational sourcing experience
  • Excellent technical understanding
  • Experienced in local and global sourcing
  • High awareness for costs and quality
  • Good negotiation skills and high drive for results
  • High reliability and adherence to deadlines
  • Experience working in project environment and multifunctional teams
  • Good knowledge in the use of SAP (MM-Modul) and related procurement administrative and control tasks
  • Good command of MS office
  • Emphatic communication skills
  • Accustomed to presenting on a higher management level (in German & English)
  • Proactivity and hands-on mentality
  • Experience working in an environment with higher standards of cleanliness (desirable)
  • Excellent language skills in German and English is a must
  • Willingness to travel
