Your area of responsiblity

  • Your are the central Point of Contact for the RUAG Space Key Accounts allocated to you
  • Permanently listen your key account, collect its futures needs and derivate the trends out of them (input for R&D Roadmap and RUAG Strategy)
  • Systematically scouts and reports market potential and market trends in your area, providing insight on the end customer competitive environment
  • Actively prospect and develop new clients while growing existing key accounts
  • Cultivate a productive customer-oriented approach with the key decision makers at the
  • customers’ locations
  • Identify customer needs and work with concerned departments to meet market requirements and trends
  • Provide regular information on market trends to management
  • Participate in the company's marketing activities
  • Investigating partnerships to increase the probability to win the campaigns, especially on the subsystem’s tenders
  • Generating invitations to bid (RfIs/RfQs) within the market area focus,
  • Collaborating with sales teams to maximise profit by upselling or cross selling
  • Leading offer teams on selected campaigns


Your profile

  • Master's degree in aerospace/electrical/mechanical engineering or comparable
  • Internationally experienced, more than 5 year in Program, Business Development and/or Key Account Director with a proven record of success in a similar role.
  • Good knowledge of the space market and competitive landscape with solid personal network in relevant industry
  • Ability to up-sell strategic / custom solutions to a strategic account, as well as penetrating and closing strategic targets
  • Exceptional networking skills are key
  • Experienced negotiator at all levels, also in multi-cultural environment, excellent verbal and written English such as presentation skills
  • Strategic and entrepreneurial thinking: you strive for finding solutions and want to make a difference
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (ie. Powerpoint, Excel, Power tools) and CRM system
  • Strong motivator with high energy level and persistence to overachieve goals
  • Open-minded and willing to involves others - sharing information is self-evident for you
  • Flexibility to travel
