Innovation and Technology Senior Manager

Are you a trained innovator who wants to push the innovation beyond the limits in Space? Then we are looking for you. 


For the position of the Innovation and Technology Senior Manager we are seeking a person who boosts the innovation culture of RUAG Space and proactively defines measures to increase the innovation process in the company. You will ensure the innovation process by providing innovation training, supporting teams during innovation sessions, and pushing for innovations within the engineering process. You will scan the market for innovations, technologies and processes which can improve the competitiveness in the future and support the technical teams with the evaluation and introduction of new technologies. 

 

Your tasks within this interesting challenge are:

 

You drive the innovation culture in the company 

  • Define and prepares the innovation and ideation tools and trainings 
    • Align the innovation and ideation tools and methods internally and agrees the standards to be used 
    • Prepare and maintains the training material 
    • Introduce and train the tools to be used 
  • Lead innovation and ideation trainings 
  • Lead innovation incubation workshops 
  • Support teams during concept definition with innovation and ideation tools and methods 
  • Develop competences at the different sites which locally can support the teams with innovation tools and methods 
  • Prepare, lead and/or support internal technical reviews 
  • Review technical concepts and solutions with the support of experts, and provide feedback on technical maturity 
  • Upon request form internal customers, screen the market for new products, processes and technologies  
  • Provide information on new products, processes and technologies to the engineering directorates  
  • Support the engineering directorates with the evaluation of new products, processes and technologies 
  • Proactively communicate and align with the adjacent Engineering and Subsystem departments for best practice and synergies  

 

You bring the following skills with you:

 

Knowlege and experiences

  • Proven expertise and track record with innovation tools and methods in industrial applications 

  • Broad engineering background in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering 

  • Broad understanding, competence and experience in Engineering processes, tools, interfaces, and methodologies  

  • Excellent communication and coaching skills

  • Strong motivator with high energy level and persistence to overachieve goals
