Analysis Engineer (f/m/d)

Your tasks within this interesting challenge are: 

  • Perform structural analyses of launch vehicle structures
  • Build new NASTRAN, ABAQUS and Hyperworks FE Models and perform analysis
  • Perform detailed stress analysis
  • Create analysis reports mainly in English
  • Present and defend results in meetings
  • Work as an analysis team member in development projects
  • Establish mechanical lay-out of launcher structures
  • Define, control and check required analysis tasks
  • Interface to internal and external customers
  • Lead small analysis project teams
  • Interface with System Engineering, Design. Material & Processes


You bring the following skills with you: 

  • University/ETH master’s degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering
  • Minimum 10 years experience in an aerospace company in the fields of:
    • FE Analysis with NASTRAN, Hyperworks and/or Abaqus
    • Detailed stress analysis
    • Mechanical engineering
  • Advanced knowledge in FE analysis with the solver NASTRAN, Hyperworks and/or ABAQUS to efficiently create FE models and perform analysis
  • Desirable:
  • Experience in analysis of payload fairing and other launcher structures
  • Experience in test prediction and correlation of structures and components, static and dynamic
  • Advanced knowledge in detailed stress analysis using aerospace methods
  • Advanced knowledge in mechanical lay-out of aerospace structures and components
  • Advanced knowledge in analysis of composites and composite structures
  • Leadership flair and a “we can do it”-attitude
  • Pro-active team player with the mission for ensuring analysis quality
  • Advanced English language skills (reading, writing and speaking)
