About us

At RUAG Space in Linköping, about 150 people work with the development and manufacture of advanced equipment for use in space. Our main products are adapter and separation systems where we are the world leader. With 90 % of the commercial market, we supply all major launch service providers in the world with equipment for launching satellites of all sizes. The space industry is currently undergoing an exciting change where the traditional space industry is being challenged by “New Space”. This includes new technologies and solutions, and it’s becoming increasingly important to be able to handle many different types of customers, suppliers, and products. About our team

Planning and prepare are located within our Production Planning & Support team, that consists of 17 people working together both internally and cross functional. The team is responsible for planning the entire chain in operations from production base to ready-to-deliver product. One major task is to prioritize and coordinate the work within customer projects.

 

Your main responsibilities

  • Planning the operations chain for specific projects
  • Manages the planning function and the planning interface with Project management
  • Develop /Maintains master scheduling for all projects
  • Using the MRP system, translates the consolidated sales forecasts into a master production schedule / build schedule.
  • Perform load leveling on the build plan to allow for resource restrictions.
  • Generate requisitions to buy materials.
  • Evaluate and create reschedule requirements for buyers.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly production schedule / work order dispatch lists.
  • Monitors daily schedule status and communicate scheduling problems or concerns to Management.
  • Compiling the needs and documentation of the projects from design
  • Preparing internal manufacturing, and assembling for our production
  • Producing documents such as production orders and schedules with high quality requirements
  • Participating in improvement and process development within the department

 

You will work closely with your colleagues in design, production, purchasing, testing and quality, but also broadly across the company linked to ongoing projects. We also collaborate with other RUAG sites in Europe and the US.  

 

Qualifications

  • Technical education / high school degree within relevant field
  • Experience with planning in production
  • Good communicative skills, both Swedish and English
  • Good computer skills, experience with working in an ERP system (such as IFS)
  • Driven and goal oriented, always striving to reach targets and results together with the team
  • Ability to plan, structure, prioritize and follow-up
  • Experience in mechanical processing, mechanical design, surface treatment, work with composite materials is a merit
  • Team oriented, contributing to a good atmosphere and a good climate for cooperation
