This position is responsible for marketing communications of RUAG Space in the US, with a specific focus on product communication, digital platforms and the organization of trade events and fairs. The role aims at raising RUAG Space's profile in the US with appropriate marketing communication measures and strengthening RUAG Space’s brand reputation.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

Marketing communications:
•    Develop and execute a marketing communications plan for the U.S. to raise RUAG Space's profile in the U.S. as a preferred supplier to the space industry and to support product sales
•    Planning and execution of 360-degree marketing campaigns 
•    Planning and production of local product video and photo shoots
•    Updating of product sheets
•    Assist in the creation of marketing presentations
•    Evaluation and management of advertising, sponsorship and membership opportunities
•     Supporting the launch of the new "beyond gravity" brand in the U.S. market (Q2/Q3 2022)

 

Events & Exhibitions:
•    Manage all planning and logistics for annual trade shows such as Space Symposium or SmallSat including booth design, booth shipping, giveaways, events, staffing, advertising, etc. 
•    Project management for the development of RUAG Space's digital customer interaction platforms and virtual booths

 

Corporate Communiation Support:
•    Support the Corporate Communication team with topic input from the U.S. and publication of content across the company's various internal as well as external channels.
•    Regularly attend daily, weekly and quarterly newsroom meetings online. 
•    Assist in building relationships with trade media in the U.S.: coordinate requests from external stakeholders and media, networking with journalists, writing press releases, organizing press events, etc. 
•    Member of the editorial team for RUAG International's/beyond gravity’s employee magazine including the planning, researching and writing of articles. 

 

Requirements/Skill Set:

  • Extensive relevant experience (min. 7-10 years), latest in a marketing communication management function
  • University degree / Bachelor
  • Hands-on mindset and “can do” attitude, strives in start-up environment
  • Highly skilled in B2B market communication, with a strong track record in managing digital platforms
  • Experienced in organizing events and trade shows: hands-on personality who can lead diverse stakeholders toward a common goal in a global company. 
  • Native level in English; any other language (preferably German) a plus
  • High cultural sensitivity, and experience in leading international project teams remotely
  • Ability and willingness to travel 10-20%
  • Solution driven, willing to make a difference, strong intrapreneur with coordination skills
  • Strong motivator with high energy level and persistence to overachieve goalsCooperative leader who puts success of team first
  • Open-minded, strong communicator and networker, willingly involves others and shares information 
  • High stress resistance and perseverance, able to keep structured and prioritize in a complex environment

 

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with aerospace environment, technology sector or industrial companies
  • Space industry experience or at least strong affinity
