Senior Manager Business Development & Sales (f/m/d)

In the role of Senior Manager Business Development & Sales at the Emmen site, you will be responsible for ensuring the long term profitability, competitiveness, efficiency, development, delivery and customer success of RUAG Aerostructures Emmen by leading the Business Development & Sales function and its subfunctions according to company strategy and by contributing as an accountable member of the RUAG Aerostructure Emmen management team.

 

Your tasks within this interesting challenge are

  • Actively and accountably contributes to the RUAG Aerostructure Emmen management team and to the definition of the company strategy
  • Actively contributes to and facilitates the continuous development of the RUAG Aerostructure Emmen business and organisation as a whole to secure the fulfilment of the overall company objectives
  • Leads and directs the team of the Business Development & Sales functions
  • Acts as personal point of contact for the top-level management of Key Customers
  • Owns, secures the implementation of and follows up the top-level strategy for the efforts and outcome within the Business Development & Sales functions
  • Is accountable for
    • conception and implementation of the market strategy of RUAG Aerostructure Emmen and development of Key Customers and markets
    • management of the order intake pipeline at RUAG Aerostrucutre Emmen level
    • development and implementation of growth initiatives in Europe and USA
    • supported by the Project Management
  • Secures development, implementation, and continuous improvement of global Sales process, including management of Leads/Opportunities, Order Intake pipeline and Bids, in coordination with other involved functions
  • Prepares and approves budgets according to delegation
  • Proactively communicates and aligns with the EVP and adjacent managers within RUAG Aerostructure Emmen for best practice and synergies between functions
  • Takes the managerial responsibility towards the direct reports, performing the HR processes such as competence planning, recruitment, performance management, development etc.
  • Leads according to the RUAG Aerostructure Values and Code of Conduct, and drives the people & leadership development within the function

 

Your profile

  • Education in Engineering, M.Sc. level
  • Management track record from leading leaders in an international environment
  • Extensive network in the Aerostructure industry both Europe and US. Solid background in a project-based industry
  • Proven track record in growing business in the Aerostructures industry
  • Excellent communication skills, strategic mind-set with holistic view and good analytical skills
  • Solution driven, willing to make a difference, strong entrepreneurial thinking and coordination skills
  • High stress resistance and perseverance, able to keep structured and prioritize in a complex environment
