Technical Sales Manager, Launcher Sub-Systems

RUAG Space USA is seeking candidates for the Technical Sales Manager for Launcher Sub-Systems.  This position will be directly responsible for RUAG Space Launcher Sub-System products: adapters, separation systems, dispensers and sounding rocket guidance systems.  The candidate must be successful at converting the proposal pipeline into contracts which will create a profitable business over time.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create profitable business including long term price strategy by creating and executing Capture Plans
  • Establish and manage efficiently in a cooperative manner Capture Teams (with Key Account Managers, Project, and Product)
  • Responsible for Bid/No bid Decision Gate and Bid Submission Gate
  • Establish customer proposals, including pricing, cover letter, terms & conditions etc.
  • Coordinate negotiations
  • Build customer network and keep updated on customer need
  • Report prospect funnel development
  • Predict Sales New Order
  • Work with Business Development teams to secure business pipeline and bid management
  • Proposal management all the way to contract

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10 + years of relevant experience
  • Leadership skills in an international environment
  • Skilled strategic negotiator
  • Networking skills with ability to create long term customer relations
  • Strong Team Player with a cooperative leadership style
  • Entrepreneurial thinking, solution driven, willing to make a difference

  • Outstanding knowledge of the space market and competitive landscape
  • Knowledge of the RUAG portfolio, and insight into RUAG competitors
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Good business sense
